We can meet your CE marking requirements
BUMAX is certified by TÜV NORD according to EN 15048 and BUMAX® 88 products can be supplied as a “structural bolt” with CE marking and hard marked with “SB”. As CE marked structural bolts are not a standard product due to the additional testing and marking requirements, it is important that CE marking requirements are specified when ordering.
The harmonized standards that cover fasteners are EN 15048 for non-preloaded applications and EN 14399 for pre-loaded applications. EN 14399 does not apply to stainless steels. However, BUMAX has been involved in the SIROCO EU-funded research project to develop a design standard for slip-resistant connections using pre-loaded stainless steel bolts.
