Threaded stud and stud bolt

Studs and stud bolts are fasteners with no head and are threaded at either end or fully threaded along their entire length.

Studs are often used to secure two or more parts, including flange assemblies and heavy machinery, and provide maximum strength for demanding industrial joints. Studs can generate more accurate preload values due to less torsion during the tightening process.
