Our space offering

BUMAX fasteners are the preferred choice for space applications due to their high mechanical strength, low risk of galling and very stable and consistent performance. In addition, they have excellent impact strength at cryogenic temperatures as low as 0 degrees Kelvin (-273°C), as well as at high temperatures during assembly. We also have extensive experience of producing high-performance fasteners for high vacuum and magnetic field applications.

BUMAX is the only manufacturer in the world offering high-alloy stainless steel miniature screws that combine controlled low magnetic permeability with high strength, exceeding class 10.9. As electronic assemblies become more compact and complex, the need for precision, repeatability and material compatibility increases.

BUMAX 88 is one of our flagship stock grades that provides higher strength, corrosion resistance and fatigue performance than generic stainless steel fasteners.

BUMAX® 109

BUMAX 109 is one of our flagship stock grades that offers higher strength than A4-100 and is the strongest A4/316 stainless steel fastener on the market.

BUMAX® DX 129

BUMAX DX 129 is a duplex stainless steel grade with very high strength combined with excellent corrosion resistance.

BUMAX® DX 149

BUMAX DX 149 is an ultra-high-strength duplex stainless steel fastener with excellent corrosion resistance.

BUMAX® HE

BUMAX HE is a high-temperature resistant grade for applications requiring high strength and good oxidation resistance at temperatures up to 700°C.

High-performance fasteners for space fastener solutions

We offer a broad range of products and can deliver customized stainless steel fasteners according to unique customer requirements. Our fasteners are delivered with full traceability and 3.1 or 3.2 certificates on demand. We can offer fasteners with a Prematerial Approval (PMA) for Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) applications in accordance with PED 2014/68/EU.

We also offer specialised fastener products such as captive screws, vented screws and SEMS screws, as well as a variety of special surface treatments, special cleaning and packaging solutions.
