Tomas has worked at BUMAX since 1986 and is one of our most experienced production employees.
What do you do in your current role?
In my role as a Production Team Leader, I help plan each day by making sure we have the people we need and prioritize certain tasks that have to be done. I then work as a machine operator where I am needed – typically with threading and cold forming machines.
What do you like about your job?
I enjoy the responsibility of being a Team Leader and working with people and training them to be skilled machine operators. It is really satisfying when you successfully train a person. I also like working with our different machines.
How have you developed at BUMAX?
I have certainly developed my experience as a machine operator over the years. I have also developed my leadership skills in my role as a Team Leader. We recently had training in Belgium, which I found really useful.
What do you think is the best thing about working at BUMAX?
We have a great team of people in production that is almost like a family. In fact, my father worked here between 1964 and 1999. We have a good work environment and excellent communication between workers and managers.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy fishing and being out in the forest.
